Is A Glass Of Wine Really That Good For You?
There are numerous resources, which state that one glass of wine per day for women and two
glasses of wine for men per day is acceptable; however, wouldn't not drinking it at all be even better?
When you are trying to lose weight, or transform your body in some way alcohol may be sabotaging your efforts.
First of all, the extra calories will not help. Depending on the wine, one glass of wine range between 110 and 300 calories. You would need to workout hard for at least 30 minutes to burn all those extra calories off.
Second, alcohol is very high in sugar and is metabolized different in the body than other foods. It is converted into fat very quickly and usually stored permanently by the body since the body doesn't release toxins well.
Third, alcohol can make you lazy. When you feel this way you are less likely to go to the gym and make healthy food choices.
Fourth, alcohol is a depressant and will likely not inspire you to make good, healthy and positive choices for your life.
There are other, healthier drinks you can choose instead. These include, kombucha (becasue it's a fermented drink it may give you a buzz) and of course the best choice being water. You can never get enough of that when trying to gain more energy, better health and lose weight.
Hope this helps!
