How Much Water Do You Really Need?
Water is an essential nutrient for your health and well-being. Without food you can live for weeks...without water only a few days. However, is all water the same and how much of it do you really need?
Some people say alkaline water is the best, others will say distilled and some even say, "just drink
tap water, it's fine." I won't get into too much detail here because there is so much debate; however, the best water you can drink is clean. This means it is fresh, and free of all contaminates especially chemicals. The problem with most tap water is that is is full of chlorine, fluoride and other harmful chemicals.
To figure out how much water you need take your body weight in pounds, divide this by two and that's how many ounces you will need to drink per day.
For example:
150 pounds/2 = 75
That means you will drink 75 ounces of water per day.
There are 8 oz per cup so this means you will need 9 cups or 2.3 litres per day.
Hope this helps!
