Physical Activity or Exercise?
What's the difference between physical activity and exercise?
Physical activity is defined as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure.
Exercise is activity requiring physical effort, carried out especially to sustain or improve health and fitness.
Do you hear the word exercise and start to freak out a little? Do you think you have to kill yourself in the gym in order to see any benefit? Nope! Not true!
The American College of Sports Medicine recommends 30 minutes of moderate activity 3 times per week to prevent disease and see many health benefits. So, get out there and get moving even if it's just a nice walk in nature you will still see great benefits.
