Get Active in April
April is the first glimpse at spring and the perfect time to get your body moving! This month I encourage you to challenge yourself to do something active every day this month.
Exercise, and activity, has so many wonderful benefits, including:
- reduced body fat
- increased muscle mass and toning
- increased energy
- increase self-esteem and self-confidence
- better health and reduced risk for disease
Here are some simple ways you can get active this month:
1) Get out for a walk everyday
2) Play some recreational sports with friends or family
3) Dust off the old stationary bike or treadmill and use it everyday
4) Do jumping jacks, crunches or some other type of activity during commercial breaks when watching TV
5) Practice yoga
There are of course many different ways to get active. The key is taking the first step and committing to doing something every day!
